to be safe, just stick to the originals..especially when your car is still under warranty..

Bro,

I had the same problem with my B5 earlier. Mine was a problem with the TCU. I ended up buying 2 TCUs and now I have one extra. Don't know if it will fit your GB but if you want it do let me know.

My advise will be to go to Auto Reign and talk to Clement. If it is not a TCU problem it could be the valve body. Clement does a very good job servicing the valve body. If it is not valve body, it is the GB.

Good luck bro. Hope it is nothing much.

You be many things indeed, like what chipfoo mentioned..MAF sensors. It happened on his B5.5 last time and it nearly caused him to repair his tiptronic gbx.
Nevertheless, a couple of diagnoses from the experts and creditable workshops will narrow it down to the most probable cause.

tq so much guys
right now my car is still in workshop.
actually i really pissed of with the previous owner since he said the gearbox is in very good condition coz he had overhaul it.
since i live in kuantan, i dont want to take the risk to drive my car to kl to check it up.
actually im considering to change the gearbox, but then my mechanic insist that the gearbox is not the main culprit.
the gearbox still can change gear, so he suspect it could be the valve body.
but then the problem still persist after the servicing.
after consulting with a few mechanic, it could be the solenoid.
actually we can checked which one is the malfunctioning solenoid using the computer, but then i dont have the luxury here in kuantan.
so, i bought a 2nd hand valve body complete with solenoid.
since now is holiday season, i have to wait till next week....
